The Role of Technocratic Progressivism in Campus Protests
The sort of technocratic progressivism, a hattel logic of its own, was reaching for something. I remember having arguments with people who by any technical accounting were to the right of me and more conservative than I am politically. They had a tendency precisely due to their temperamental conservatism, that downplay the significance of those events. It put me in opposition to what were supposed to be the sort of left wing progress, it was on campus. At a deeper level epistemologically it was not conservative because I was proposing something outside of the normative political thinking of the time.
