How I Learned to Cook in a Restaurant

In Oxford, Mississippi my mother was cooking a Gujarati toli once a week. She would cook 20 of them and they would sell out every Tuesday. And so one summer they were going on vacation. My mom decided to go on vacation and she just kind of threw me their job right. So I went into harvest and did the toli. It didn't taste terrible. But the long and short of that is I was in a restaurant once a week you know actually doing something. That's when I decided I really wanted to go to cooking school.
