The Unrealistic View of Journalism
Cable news is built for big stories, but it has to operate 24-7. It develops tools that make sure there can be a broadcast even when one is not needed. You give us 22 minutes, we give you the world. There's a slogan from my past. You teach. And I wonder what people who are going into journalism or think they want to go into journals and think about this. Do they see this as a profession beset by these issues? Do they have a completely unrealistic view?
