When we prescribe tasks, we are setting ourselves up to micromanage. And it's not just about appeasing your team. If you've hired well, then you should really take a bunch of wisdom of the crowds. Your team should be making good, if not better decisions than you. So that actually is a really interesting point. There are decisions that are big enough and that the manager is going to have the most context for in making that decision.
