The First Illyrian War
The Roman expedition into Illyria had been remarkably successful. In less than a full year, the Republic was able to curb the expansionist RDI in Kingdom without any real resistance. Many smaller cities like Coursira, Apollonia, and Epidomnus all became friends of the people of Rome. Tudas Grasp spent the winter of 229, 228, locked away in a small fortress with only a handful of retrusted advisers. The prospects of facing another renewed campaign were too much, and the Queen offered to surrender in early 228.
