There's a fundamental question that you got me thinking about, which is there are things we can learn from animals about making morality less difficult. So is part of what's going on there then that animals don't have the same level of identity or ego? And therefore, there's no desire to be right. Yes, I would think the desire to beright would require some level of self awareness about understanding what your beliefs are comparing them to the beliefs of others and deciding yours or superior superior.
