Bible Talk — A podcast by 9Marks & Southern Seminary
The Mark of Cain Is a Mark of God's Kindness
The Lord put a mark on Cain lest any who found him should attack him. We don't know what this Mark or this sign that the Lord put on Cain was, but the way that it's functioning here in this story is that the Mark itself is not a curse. It's actually a sign of God's kindness and his mercy toward Cain.
