Synthetic Life Forms

In its current form, one can make a good case that families, businesses and groups like villages or churches or clubs are synthetic life forms. We could also see it in human animal hybrids, and of course, human machine ones. And combinations of machine, animal and human in many different ways might be welcome or utterly alien. But i think prediction of which people might go for relies on that second meaning of synthetic life.
