Sargasm

The sargasum belt was estimated to contain 22 million tons of seaweed. The resolution of the satellite camera that's taking the infered imagery is probably low, so it can only see patches that show up at a minimum resolution of something like a kilometer. But one thing that is worth stressing again is that while researchers have identified some very good candidates for the explanations of o these a blooms and inundations of sarcasm in the last decade or so, there's still some uncertainty.
