Is God's Commandments Identical With Moral Obligations?
The claim of divine command theorists makes is that God's commands are identical. If God does have reasons for his commands, then those reasons give us reasons as well. And so therefore we would have those reasons even if God didn't issue his commands. So I simply don't see why one would infer that because God has reasons for hiscommand it suddenly follows that those reasons are identical with moral obligations. It just doesn't, I just don't see how that inference goes through. There are various other lines of arguments I think you can make about this, this kind of response.
