The Differences Between Upstream Manufacturing and Existing Biologics

The main similarities with existing biologics is in what we call the upstream manufacturing. These are the extracting an active ingredient from the blood like a specific protein that you then want to make recombinantly and turn into a drug like EPIL or clotting factor.
