The Queen of the Sciences in classical education has always been theology. It was supposed to be the organizing principle of all of education, going back to the Middle Ages and whatnot. And one of the last things that you would study as a educated person of antiquity was was...was politics, government, and money and economics. They wanted you to have a knowledge of history and ethics before you went into these fields.
