The Black and White Perspective
The film is set in an oppressively white house, with a huge mat of light coming in from the side window. In black and white there's already an abstraction - i didn't want audience to feel comfortable looking at someone who looks white. I'd much rather they were always looking at some one whom they identify o, feel,. And that felt crucial for me, because that's the black perspective. Do you think there's any connection between the fact that what you've just said and the fact that, i know you'rea fan of horror films? The thing about threat, danger, the cinemar of unease, do you think those things are connected?
