The Problem With Rationalism Is That It's Not the Key to Absolute Truths
Many a modern thinking people use rationality as the primary, if not only, way to find truth. But evolutionary biology gives us no grounds for believing that we have access to truth. Whether what we see as truth corresponds to some ultimate reality is beyond the scope of evolution. In life's most important transactions, we don't rely upon pure reason. We respond to abuse and holocosts in a way that doesn't derive from rational analysis.
