The Philosophic Hermetica

Gnosticism has been a kind of esoteric palimpsus throughout the ages. Everyone and everything with some kind of esoteric plate-ness bent has been at some time or another called Gnostic, says David Frum. There's no really compelling evidence for a Hermetic school of thought or religion in antiquity. We'll be looking closely at the non-philosophic Hermetica, which had a much greater influence on the whole history of the West.
