According to the FTC, one in five workers has to sign a non-compete agreement. Neil Richards: We are at a level of worker mobility in this country that we haven't seen in decades. He says most workers who sign non-competes do not negotiate over them and many don't even know they have ones until they try to leave for a competitor. Richardson: Non-compete agreements increase the amount of time workers are at a job by around 11%.
