EU AI Liability Directive - What Does It Hope to Achieve?

The European Commission is proposing new rules to help people harmed by products powered by artificial intelligence. The rather excitingly titled AI Liability Directive would make it easier to sue the companies behind these products and ease the burden of proving that they're at fault. Joining us now is MEP Ava Midell who is helping to draft the world's first piece of AI legislation, the EU's AI Act.
