When in valuation, most people assume that you must work with numbers. I've always been a story person and a numbers person. Early on when I taught valuation, I would suppress the story side because I thought it was a sign of weakness to talk about stories. It took me a while to get there. The first time I did it was like pulling teeth. I wanted to go back my numbers side over time. But teaching is my passion. And I'm still naturally a numbers person but I become much better at telling stories.
