The government and NHS England remain wedded to the idea of forcing GPs to declare their earnings. There's also concern about plans to withdraw 20 million pounds a year in funding to help practice with costs associated with subject access requests. The package rejected by the BMA would have removed that funding. It is important to see all of this against a backdrop of practices being genuinely worried about their long-term viability, isn't it?
