The Glycine Deficit of Ten Grams Per Day

The paper that suggested the glicine deficit of ten grams per day used the most conservative estimates that they could find, so as to not overstate their position. The data they base that on documented glycene re cycling being as low as 80%. Which means that if you swap out those percentages in the calculations they use, then ten grams of glycene per day suddenly jumps up to 35 to forty grams per day. And it's probably likely that people have different levels of glycine recycling capacity in their body, depending on various genetic factors and other crap that we haven't identified.
