I think that artists should have a restraining order concerning their own work and not be allowed even to approach it within 100 meters, much less speak about it. I do have a certain grudging admiration for artists who style is so pronounced that they can literally bend any subject to their will. I'm unfortunately not, I haven't received that gift.
