World War One - The Industrial Crisis in Russia
The general collapse of the russian economy since the beginning of world war one was vast and deep. Criss crossing armies, political mismanagement, general unrest, chaos, sabotage and accidents had left russia's industrial sector in complete ruins. Coal production was just 25 % what it had been in 19 13. Oil fields were operating at a third of their pre war level ing. Operations for other vital resources were just a fraction of what they had been. All of this meant the industrial working class of russia, the political and economic base of communism, was in terrible shape. And so the reds were going to have to start providing better answers than hey at least were better than the whites
