There are certain examples of condemnable acts that just simply don't have any consequences at all. The only reason why a deontological principle is nominated as good is because it on balance has good consequences, or we think it does. I mean, so my point is that deontologists and virtue ethicists are smuggling in good, assumptions about good consequences everywhere and not acknowledging it.
