The Narcissism of Twitter
In Twitter debates, the temperature always rises and the positions become more polarized. There's a humanity to in person debating doesn't always work this way but in my experience there are more controls on keeping things calm and civilized when you're really in the physical presence of somebody. It feels like we've gotten into and not only the narcissism of a small differences, the narcissists of my new just microscopic differences and constant schisms, constant faction, bad battling over. I do think that that loss of real.
