The Importance of a Holiday for MPs
MPs say that the demands on them and their staff in terms of casework are huge. So yes, it can still be hard to have a break. As for August, I found there were very few demands made by my constituency in August. There was an acceptance that the MP was likely to be away,. Very few events that one was likely to have to miss.
