How to Listen to Words in Fast Speech
When people speak fast, they are not articulating clearly enough to make it really obvious. So there's this disconnect between kind of the theoretical learning in the classroom, and then what people actually go on to hear. I think that's a major, a major thing, because words are quite artificial. We've only been writing properly for a tiny fraction of the amount of time we've been speaking. And we don't speak in words. We speak in like little chunks of sounds.
