James Mabricks died on May 11, 1889 in Liverpool, England. An autopsy revealed that the cause of death could have been arsenic poisoning. The children's nanny gave Michael some kind of package that she had found in Mrs. Mabricks trunk. In the box there was a bottle that was labeled arsenic poison and it said, four cats in handwriting on the bottle.
