Mark's Gospel Is the Shortest Gospel
Mark's is the shortest gospel. So sometimes it's called the Cliff note version of the story of Jesus. Mark loved action. It was fast paced. He doesn't have time for Matthew's discourses about the lilies of the field. But he shows right from the very beginning, Jesus is battling Satan in privately before as he begins after his baptism.
