Edward Bernays is the nephew of Sigmund Freud, father of psychiatry and a Coke addict. His family was not rich but they managed an upper middle class existence in New York City. He writes about his dad's unpredictable temperament which led him to be more of a force of nature by his kids than like a loving parent.
