i agree with everything fried says, except that there are some parts that i don't fully understand. I think it's totally fine to do a psychology study were you just have an idea. It's based on your intuition, or something that you and your friend talked about,. There's no like, theoretical basis for your prediction, right? So it's notthat, like, your basing it on so and so's theory of social interactions or so. You're just, like, you've made an observation, and you want to do a test of it. And i would love it if we weere at a point where that was possible for a lot of the questions that we study
