What's Going on in the Brain When Students Make an Error?
Researchers at Michigan state university recorded electrical activity from relevant parts of the brain as students with a fixed mind set, or growth my mind said, were worked on a task and made errors. When you look at the brains of students with a growth mind set, when they make an error, the relevant part of the brain light up orangy red. That shows a lot of activity, indicating that they detected the error, their processing it deeply, and they're correcting it. The same thing doesn't happen for people who have a fixed mindset. They detect the airor and they flee from it as quickly as i'll be talking to stephen cawsoniin in a little while
