The Impetus to Do Something Wrong in Graphic Design
I think in some ways it would become too easy with typefaces becoming so much better designed and with so many automated things that it became kind of yeah a bit too easy. So a lot of it was sort of trying to intentionally make it hard for myself to you know rather than use one font why don't we use a hundred fonts on a page. And so it came from a desire to keep myself interested but I think it also came from working with artists who often would challenge my rightness and kind of send me things or push me into things that I normally wouldn't do.
