Anesthesia for the Skin Incision Cephylad

i like to give some anestesia right at the periostium of the rib. I think this sets up what is in essence, a field block and gives you much denser anaesthesia than just going into one spot. You really want to give space for your hemostats to be able to spread without causing excruciating pain. The actual part that hurts is not the skin, it's all muscle. And stuff you're going through. Then i like to hit the rib and then push my needle in just above the rib until i'm actually in the plural spacey.
