The New Romance and the Public Sphères

The new romance is a kind of literary genre or almost sort of like literary sub-genre that is emerging at you know the turn of the century. It's broadly construed dedicated to taking the old genre of romance which is understoodsort of historically and even within I think the field today to be kind of distinct from the novel. The romance is a type of prose story usually but not always prose it might have poetry in itlike sections of poetry and like little dramatic interludes and things like that. But primarily the defining features of the romance as a genre are like just off the wall stuff like a character starts in a place and goes on a rip-roaring adventure through multiple real and imagined
