Observations Are Difficult to Make
David Deutsch explains that observations are difficult to make, very, very difficult. Seeing is not believing expert knowledge can be required to interpret even simple observations in experimental physics. Few people understand making observations if it's not all doctored or the equivalent of systematic instrument error.
