The Nature of the Liberated Mind
Practice noticing when just some very simple desires arise in the mind. See if you can notice when it arises, not getting lost in it and not pushing it away. You might feel the energy of it, not only to recognize that the desire is there, but it's almost dropping down and feeling what the energy of wanting is like. What does it feel like? And this quality of wanting. Now at some point, just in being mindful of this very simple desire that's arisen, you may notice that it disappears. This is a very clear, direct statement of the nature of the liberated mind. But we may not yet quite be at the point of proclaiming this for ourselves.
