Can American Democracy Overcome Polarization?
Polarization may not only drive democratic erosion, it may preclude efforts to reverse it. The danger of polarization is that the country is no longer able to act together and accomplish substantive change before democracy falls apart. David Frum: I don't think it's reached a point of no return. But i think the american citizenry has to be capable of standing up and drawing the line wherever you stand on the issues.
