Is Sea Level Rise a Long Term Threat to the Oceans?
A lot of what I hear about ice sheet loss concerns me a great deal, partly because I don't think we fully understand it. Of all the impacts, sea level rise is one of the ones I'm least worried about with respect to the oceans. There's acidification, there's the change in the thermal halide circulation and the amok that overfishing has on cetaceans. We are a problem-solving species; when we isolate the problem, instead of looking at the system, we end up pushing the problem elsewhere.
