Health Care Is a Basic Weapon to Dealing With Public Health Problems

We spend so much more than any other country, per capita, on health care. We just don't get the kinds of outcomes that we need to. I think probably we need to pay the medical system less for a lot of the services that we provide in the richest part of our health system. And we need topay more in the poorest parts of our healthsystem. i'm hopeful that coved will be a mirror on some of those dramatic failures of our social insurance system.
