meditation is really a commitment to giving yourself the time to just sit and let your mind empty itself. A lot of people have a hard time with meditation because they think it's something they've got to do. Every time you try to stop your mind, you're actually using the force of thought to try to stop thought. It never works very well. But there comes a time when all of a sudden you realized the screen has been empty for ten or 15 minutes, and you realize, whow. That was cool.
