The Importance of Second Person in Storytelling
The second person is sort of implied in almost all forms of story. A lot of books that don't have a you will still as you say have those like dear reader moments. I understand as a writer that there's a reader and I am now moving away from my story for a moment to address the reader in second person. In podcasting it's like who's actually listening to this? It's an area that Janina and I play around with on within the wires podcast each season.
