i think man films, when a nolds batman and films, does sn't fall o philosophical moral dilemmas. But he said, the nolan films are more than that. They're actually doing philosophy. And i think it really is sort of, it deserves some credit as as an intellectual contribution on its own. I mean, in some ways, this is the central notion that drives our podcast. It's not just the idea but what movies can do that analic philosophers don't want to do or aren't capable of doing. That was ikire and a, and what i really like about that, because i totally buy that.
We welcome Paul Bloom to talk about the first season of "Severance," the new mind-bending and mind-splitting TV series on Apple TV+. What happens when you separate your home life from your work life? Do you create a completely different person? Is it a form of self-slavery? How important is autobiographical memory to your identity? And what’s the deal with the break room… and the goats?
Plus, what happens when you combine the obsessions of evolutionary psychology with the methodological problems of social psychology? You (finally) get an explanation for the female orgasm.
Special Guest: Paul Bloom.
