The Vulnerability of the Stock Market

After 9 11 happened, what it revealed was the vulnerability of the country. We were operating our capital markets in a single location at 11 Wall Street with 5500 of the same people every single day. And that was the vulnerability. So today we have 11 exchanges that exist in this country. The New York Stock Exchange is the only physical exchange. They're not located in downtown Manhattan, they're all located in Colorado and Florida and California. If you blow up the guy who runs the NYSE? Of course I would like to see them blown up. That's how much bigger American trading is now than ever before.
