That tiger cub you ignored six months ago?
It is not a cub anymore.

Adversity does not wait while you get ready. It gets hungrier. It gets bigger. And at some point there is no cage between you and it.

George has personally caused irreparable damage to his body, his relationships, and his business confusing stubbornness with strength. He called it resilience for years.

This episode is the four-part guide to finally facing it correctly.

This is the direct implementation guide for the Marcus Aurelius Anderson episode. George breaks down four key frameworks from that conversation: adversity discernment, the grief cycle, radical gratitude, and what you actually want, with a through-line composite client story that puts all four into one clear picture you can see yourself in.

What You’ll Learn In This Episode:

Why adversity comes back bigger every time you avoid it and the only real alternative
The difference between adversity that makes you stronger and adversity that is just self-harm with better branding
How the five grief stages actually work in real time, and the hidden sixth stage between denial and anger
What specific gratitude looks like versus a generic Christmas list
The four questions that tell you whether your daily actions actually match what you want
The one composite story of "Alex" that maps exactly to something in your business right now

Key Takeaways:
✔️You do not have an adversity problem. You have a correctly or again problem. Adversity already knows which one you will pick.
✔️Good adversity makes you stronger by pushing through it. Deleterious adversity is self-harm with better packaging. The difference is whether you are getting diminishing returns.
✔️The five stages of grief are not linear. You can cycle through all five in an hour. The goal is not to arrive at acceptance and stay there. It is to keep moving back toward it every time you slide.
✔️The hidden stage between denial and anger is regret. And depression is anger turned inward. Name where you actually are, not where you wish you were.
✔️Generic gratitude lists the same three things daily and creates no emotional response. Specific gratitude asks: what weakness is this exact adversity exposing in me right now?
✔️Your brain fires the same dopamine hit when you tell someone your plan as when you actually execute it. Telling is not progress. It is a trap.
✔️The four questions: What do I actually want? Why does having it matter? How will I know when I have it? And do my actions over the last 30 days reflect that answer or contradict it?
✔️Make the next bite so embarrassingly small you cannot say no to it. One text. One five-minute conversation. One walk. Then ask what the next bite is.
