What Happened to the Slave?
Mister burl had accumulated a debt for purchasing pigs, so he looked over his supply of people and decided on one that could probably sell enough to pay the debt. It was the five year old son of the cook, named little joe. When the mother did finally accept that he wasn't coming back, she started to grieve, like you can imagine. And there's this masked thing again. For all thought that a sad and weeping slave was not a good slave to be around. So what did he do? He had her beaten. That was like a line too far.
