Is There a Multiverse?

There's a lot of different universes out there for people to discover. Some of the technology needed to create and traverse these multi verses is left over from an ancient, now, past, civilization that seemed to have a better handle on the physics than the current set of aliens. We don't know how the universe works when it's hot and dense, ike in the original big bang. So as things cool down, they sort of crystallize into the laws that we have now. But we think it might have gone differently. It could be possible to imagine different parts of space, or different parts of the multi verse, having different effective laws of physics.
