How Paul Prays

Prayer is to feel the sting in your knees against the hard prison floor, a constant reminder of the messy, contested stage where every answered prayer gets int id. To pray is to have an imagination that is less captive to the harsh realities of this world than it is to the one who stepped into the harsh realities and took up God's call on his life. Paul prays not for personal relief, but for love, that you and i might grasp the profound nature of the love that has pursued us.
