Why Should I Care About Balance?

If you're maximally selfish, why would you care about balance? You don't want fairness. That's selfishness one on one. To even care about balance requires a clear and unbiased mind. The devil wants to skew the political situation or whatever the situation might be in his favor because he selfish just to care about balance.
