Drugs and Global Prohibition Regimes
A piece I wrote called global prohibition regimes, subtitle the evolution of norms international society. It was asking the question two questions really one was how and why is it that certain activities that at some point in history are regarded as entirely legal or at least not illegal all around the world, subsequently become criminalized throughout the world. The first one they hit me was basically piracy and privateering right which at one point are you know private hearing is essentially licensed legal piracy. Second one was the prohibition of the global trade a global slave trade and then slavery itself. Then I jumped forward to the emerging regimes global regimes that banning the killing of elephants and whales.
