I wanted to write 40 years ago plague novel that the most standard important description of plague situation is what we romanticize and put on a pedestal. I want to shift gears a little bit so there's also a kind of subplot to the novel of a detective story, a series of murders that need to be solved. As Mingeria descends into what you describe as plague anarchy, you see that the complete undoing of all pre existing political and social and economic relations. There's a constant reference in a quite comical way I think to Sherlock Holmes and his procedures was based on there's so many books about it.
